"Make The Best Happen In Pound Hill North - To The Best Of One's Abilities...And Disabilities"
4 INDEPENDENT PLEDGES + 4 INDEPENDENT VALUES
PLEDGE 1 - CRAWLEY & GATWICK CITY COUNCIL - INDEPENDENT OF WSCC BY 2019
PLEDGE 2 - TO PROTECT "BEAUTY SPOTS" FROM PREDATORY "MASONIC-LIKE" DEVELOPERS & "BANDIT" BANKS
PLEDGE 3 - TO HOLD WSCC RESPONSIBLE FOR DAMAGING THE COMMUNITIES OF CRAWLEY, AND ITS ANCIENT PARISHES - especially those responsible for axing hot school
meals & ripping out the school kitchens "to save money"; and those responsible for selling off school playing fields, care homes & ancient land "to the highest bidder".
PLEDGE 4 - TO SUPPORT A FULLY NHS, PUBLICLY-CONTROLLED, NEW HOSPITAL AT PEASE POTTAGE - and to oppose 'creeping' NHS privatization.
4 VALUES - to inform Independent decisions made.
1. COMPASSION - Care for those vulnerable & disadvantaged.
2. FREEDOM - Freedom of Speech & Expression.
3. JUSTICE - Fairness
4. TRUTH - Tell the truth & tell it straight.

ReplyDelete(GATWICK CITY OF IDEAS HAS BEEN 'WIPED')
Liam Marshall-Ascough - Crawley Conservative Party Chairman ("Mother and son bid for local election", Crawley Observer, April 4 2012 - Page 12):
ReplyDelete"Ambitious Liam has his name on the parliamentary list, and thinks that Crawley should break from Wrst Sussex and join forces with Gatwick, to become a unitary authority.
He said : 'Crawley's dominance is huge. Gatwick is getting bigger. Virgin is recruiting. Nestle is coming to town. It's all hugely positive'.
He added : 'It's not the party line, but my personal view is that Gatwick should have a second runway.
We have to expand our aviation capacity, and a second runway would bring 20-30,000 new jobs to Crawley. I think people having livelihoods outweighs the disadvantages of a second runway'."
If we can Independently extricate ourselves from control by WSCC, the solutions to our own problems will become more clear.
ReplyDeleteIndependent from WSCC - as a City Unitsry Council - and things will naturally fall into place.
The Future is Bright - The Future is Crawley & Gatwick City Council.
WSCC sometimes gets a few things right...
ReplyDeleteFor example, they publish Councillors' Register of Interests ON-LINE - Crawley does not.
